Location Change for Congregate Meals for the Glasgow Senior Citizens
Congregate meals at the Glasgow Senior Citizens Center will be served at the Cottonwood Inn for the month of July. Please call 406-228-9500 by noon the day before the meal service to reserve your spot. Please note that there will be no change in the home delivered meal program, & all other Senior Center activities remain the same, including normal operating hours. Please call the Commissioners at 406-228-6219 for additional information.
Fore the Kids Cup Tournament at Sunnyside
Fore the Kids Cup Tournament is scheduled for Sat. July 20th at Sunnyside. Registration is at 9a.m. with Tee Off at 10a.m. with Chapman Format, 2 person teams, 18 holes. Cost is $75 for adults (18 & up), $25 for youth, price includes lunch & mulligans. ALL ages encouraged to play. Money raised is used to support local youth golf scholarships. Valley County Hope Project's Luau by the Lake
Please join the Valley County Hope Project for a Luau by the Lake Fri. July 19th from 5 – 8p.m. This is a fun night of dinner & games for the whole family at East Kansas Street in Fort Peck. Dinner, catered by the Fort Peck Hotel, will be served at 6p.m. Cost is $45 for adults, $20 for students & preschool ages are free. NEMT Fair Events
The NEMT Fair events begin July 26th with the 4-H Horse Show Friday & Saturday beginning at 8a.m. both days. Tuesday & Wednesday, Aug. 6th & 7th is Torgerson’s Equipment PRCA Rodeo – Slack at 8a.m., Calcutta at 6p.m., Jump-N-Buck Ice Cream Wild Pony Race at 6:30p.m., Rodeo at 7p.m. both nights. Tuesday is Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night, Wednesday is Honor The Military & First Responders Night. Friday, Aug. 9th Chisholm Christensen will be performing in the Beer Gardens following the 4H Farm Olympics. Saturday, Aug. 10th is the Demolition Derby with Calcutta starting at 6p.m. & Derby to follow. The Independence Bank Free Stage will have Hypnotist Corrie J, Magic Ben & Bachelor Chris: The Dashing Escape Artist. The Dreamland Carnival will be here the 7th – 10th, with P.O.P. pre-sale tickets on sale through Aug. 6th for $25 each. Oink Quack Moo Zoo will be open from 3 – 10p.m. & the Flatland Cruisers’ Car Show will be open from noon – 7p.m. in the Event Center, Aug. 7th – 10th. Valley County Transit/COA 4-Bears Casino Trip
Valley County Transit & the Valley County Council on Aging have planned a 3 day/2-night trip to 4-Bears Casino in New Town, ND Aug. 14th – 16th. The cost per person is $235 for double occupancy or $300 for single. Price includes transportation & motel room. The casino will provide promotional credits plus food & drink coupons to each person.
